African Milk Tree is a dramatic, columnar succulent with three-sided stems lined with short thorns and tear-shaped leaves. Native to West Africa, it can grow up to 6 feet (1.8 m) indoors. Available in green or the striking 'Rubra' variety with red-tinged stems and leaves.
